Job Safety Analysis (JSA) Training Programme

Duration: 2 Days Course ( 9.00am - 5.00pm )

Course introduction

Job Safety Analysis (JSA) have become fundamental to the practice of planning, management and the operation of a business as a basic of risk management. This was recognized as proactive way of managing hazard and risk, so that we will able to control the identified hazard before it become the route cause of accident. This training program will give the participant skill and knowledge on the best way of developing JSA activities at workplace. This JSA will be followed by SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) for JSA implementation. SOP become the safe way to carry out the job after conduct JSA.


Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the basic knowledge on Hazard & risk and how it can be managed.
  • Understand the OSHA 1994, OHSMS STANDARD, OHSAS18001 principles and requirement.
  • Able to identify hazard and carry out risk assessment.
  • Able to develop JSA format and reporting and develop JSA presentation to management.
  • Develop recommendation to each hazard identified to minimize the risk by creating SOP as the working guideline.
  • Determine the appropriate SOP or SWI(Safe Working Instruction).


Management representatives, managers, executives, engineers, technicians, operators, employees work with the hazard and risk associate to the nature of the job and those who wish to enhance their knowledge on JSA & SOP.

Having completed and passed the course, participants will be awarded with Certificate of Training. Without retraining, knowledge might be forgotten while skills may deteriorate rapidly when not being used / practiced. Therefore, yearly retraining is very much recommended
